Register Introduction to Folklorico with Fatima Corona NEW! Open to dancers ages 12 through adult. This introductory class will teach the basics of Folklorico from the region of Baja California. Classes will begin with warm-ups, history about the region and the style, technique, and dance combinations. Dancers can wear sneakers to this class as it is an introductory course designed for all experience levels. A note about the style: Calabaceados are dances that originated in the city of La Misión, in the northern Mexican state of Baja California. These dances are lively and upbeat as dancers stomp, jump, and kick to the popular rhythms of Norteño music. 6 week workshop. Intro price: $25.
